Craftsmanship: two grappas, two letterings

From a collaboration with Capovilla, two new products bearing the Ca' Lustra signature are born.
Passion, experience, a desire to experiment: these are three traits that unite Ca' Lustra and Capovilla. Faced with the skins of Moscato Nero and Fior d'Arancio Passito, the skilled Vittorio Capovilla could not resist the challenge, giving life to two new grappas bearing the Ca' Lustra signature.
The distillation in copper pot stills allows for a delicate extraction of aromas and flavors, which express themselves in the glass with elegance and harmony. Time and patience complete the recipe.
THE LABELS
While our grape distillates rested, we began to think about the labels, commissioning Francesca Forte for their creation. The graphic solutions stem from the freedom to experiment with styles far from the classic references of the industry, yet still close to the production process and the personality of the two grappas.
To highlight the uniqueness of these distillates, the labels showcase hand-drawn lettering, the result of a unique gesture, in stroke and finish, reminiscent of the non-industrial distillation process. Inspired by the starting grapes, Moscato Nero and Fior d'Arancio, the lettering is based on their initials, the graphic compositions on their character.
The label of the Moscato Nero grappa features a linear style in a square structure, with large letters. Although with very particular shapes, the initials are clearly legible, evoking a gentle, relaxed, satisfying sip.
The label of the Fior d'Arancio Passito grappa displays a more elaborate lettering: the swirls of the strokes surround the letters, creating a complex yet compact design overall, authoritative and elegant, recalling the multiple scents of the distillate.
THE GRAPPAS IN OUR CELLAR
Finally, after so much work, from November 2023, the Moscato Nero and Fior d'Arancio Passito grappas are available for purchase in our cellar. A limited edition, only a few hundred pieces each, perfect for a gift and to enrich your table on winter evenings.
