Vineyard Raboso Rio

This vineyard is a journey back in time: a mosaic of different varieties planted together, just as was common 50-60 years ago. In spring, the land reveals its full strength, with vines so vigorous and rebellious that pruning becomes a true challenge.

The most fascinating secret of Podere Rio? Even we do not know the identity of every single vine. It is a historical heritage that we interpret season after season, adapting to the changing rhythms of nature. Raboso and Merlot grapes coexist with both well-known and minor local varieties of the Euganean Hills, allowing us to craft profoundly different wines: from the bold character of our Rosso Colli Euganei DOC Ca' Lustra to the vibrant freshness of our Rosato Veneto IGT. Far from modern standards, this vineyard demands dedicated care, yet rewards us with wines of great expressive richness.
