D-VINOTECA: an initiative of wine culture
Women, Wine, Culture
D-VINOTECA is a project born from the idea of Antonietta Mazzeo, National Advisor of the Women of Wine Association, and Milena Ferrari. It aims to create two thematic libraries on wine as an integral part of the D-VINO Project. These libraries will collect a wide range of texts and audio-visual materials covering all aspects of wine culture: from technique to history, from oenology to sensory analysis, from manuals to novels, and much more.
The libraries will be hosted at two institutions in Emilia-Romagna that have participated in the D-VINO and Culture Project for two consecutive years: the Lazzaro Spallanzani Institute in Castelfranco Emilia (MO), the national leader of the project, and the G. Raineri - G. Marcora Agricultural Hospitality Education Institute in Piacenza (PC).
In memory of Donatella Briosi and Marisa Leo, Women of Wine who were victims of femicide, the libraries will be dedicated to them and will be accessible to all students of the respective institutions. The management of the libraries will be overseen by the school directors of the two institutions.
The realization of this project was made possible thanks to the financial support of the Consorzio Tutela Lambrusco DOC, which contributed a portion of the funds from the D-VINO Emilia-Romagna project. Special thanks to member Luciana De Sensi for the selection of purchased texts.
Aware that it is the drops that fill the vessel, we are pleased to do our part in contributing to this project and encourage anyone who has the opportunity to do the same. You can donate one or more books to enrich and complete the knowledge that is being built.
Books can be sent to the collection center by Wednesday, March 20th:
Antonietta Mazzeo
Loc Selvarella 91/1

The first library will be inaugurated on Monday, March 25th.
We invite all those who love wine and culture to join, disseminate, and promote the D-VINOTECA project.
