Reitia: a great comeback

There are wines that can only be born when nature decides to be generous. Reitia is one of them. At the beginning, in the early 2000s, it was a late harvest Moscato Bianco, more delicate and fresh compared to Moscato Giallo Fior d’Arancio. The result was a balanced sweet wine, ideal to accompany desserts, perfect for those who wanted a sweeter option more intriguing than sparkling wine, but not as intense as passito. For years, it held its place on the shelf, winning over lovers of sweet wines in search of different nuances.
At some point, however, producing Reitia became increasingly difficult: rising temperatures, humidity, sudden heavy rains and the appetite of wild animals forced us to abandon the project. Last year, we finally made it! Nature gifted us with Moscato Bianco grapes perfectly suited for Reitia: healthy, beautiful, harvested in mid-September at just the right stage of over-ripeness.
Monte Venda, with its volcanic soils and constant breeze, is the perfect cradle for Moscato Bianco destined for Reitia: elegant, aromatic, sweet yet never heavy.
To enrich the wine, a precious touch of Moscato Giallo from dried grapes adds depth and amplifies the bouquet. The result is a sweet companion, surprising for its elegance, liveliness and pleasantness.
Reitia is not just a dessert wine: it is a glass that speaks of effort, research, opportunity. To be savored slowly.
