DOC Colli Euganei Rosso
This traditional red wine, a bland of Merlot, Carménère and Cabernet Sauvignon, representsthe first Euganean DOC, dated 1969.
Produced with vines planted on clay in Faedo and on limestone in Arquà Petrarca, this red wine fits the daily cuisine. It is fruity and balanced and it keeps a strong character linked to the grape varieties and to the land.
Merlot, Carménère, Cabernet Sauvignon
Various plots in Faedo (in the most meager areas) and Arquà Petrarca, ground with heterogeneous composition: flake limestone, clay, disgregate of volcanic rocks.
In stainless steel, then aged in steel and in large barrels of Slavonian oak.
Service and pairing
Uncork a little bit before, and serve at 16-18 °C. Great between the 3rd and 5th years of age, it’s at ease with bigoli with meat sauce, or with a simple meat dish.
